Playwright, novelist, composer, and pianist, Tomson Highway’s play The Rez Sisters and his novel Kiss of the Fur Queen brought Cree life to the world. He will discuss his new book, Permanent Astonishment: A Memoir, with playwright, actor, and novelist Ann-Marie MacDonald, whose first book, runaway bestseller Fall On Your Knees, was a selection of Oprah’s Book Club.

In-person details: Tickets are not required but please note that space is limited; first come, first seated. Doors open at 6:15 pm, vaccination passports, picture ID and masks will be required upon entry. Children over the age of 5 must wear a mask, and all over the age of 13 must show proof of vaccination. Please use the Sainte-Catherine street entrance to Shatford Hall. There is a ramp and elevator at the Ste-Catherine Street entrance for those with limited mobility. Note that there is construction at MacKay and Sainte-Catherine and limited parking downtown, we recommend not driving if possible. The venue is close to the Guy, Peel, and Lionel-Groulx metro stations.
