DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 18\, 2021\, 7 pm\nCentre St. Jax\, Shatford Hall\, Sainte-Catherine street entrance\n1439\, Sainte-Catherine Street W.\, Montreal QC H3G 1S6\nIn person and live-streamed (see below for details) \nPlaywright\, novelist\, composer\, and pianist\, Tomson Highway’s play The Rez Sisters and his novel Kiss of the Fur Queen brought Cree life to the world. He will discuss his new book\, Permanent Astonishment: A Memoir\, with playwright\, actor\, and novelist Ann-Marie MacDonald\, whose first book\, runaway bestseller Fall On Your Knees\, was a selection of Oprah’s Book Club.  \nBook details: Read more about and purchase a copy of Tomson Highway’s Permanent Astonishment: A Memoir. Copies will also be available for purchase at St. Jax\, where the author will be available for signing. \nIn-person details: Tickets are not required but please note that space is limited; first come\, first seated. Doors open at 6:15 pm\, vaccination passports\, picture ID and masks will be required upon entry. Children over the age of 5 must wear a mask\, and all over the age of 13 must show proof of vaccination. Please use the Sainte-Catherine street entrance to Shatford Hall. There is a ramp and elevator at the Ste-Catherine Street entrance for those with limited mobility. Note that there is construction at MacKay and Sainte-Catherine and limited parking downtown\, we recommend not driving if possible. The venue is close to the Guy\, Peel\, and Lionel-Groulx metro stations. \nLive streaming details: The event will be live-streamed on our Facebook\, Twitter and YouTube accounts\, no prior registration is required.
